Loading... Please wait...The Environmental Toothbrush
The hundreds of choices we make each day impact the environment. Sometimes it’s a big decision… sometimes it is as small as changing your toothbrush. Millions of toothbrushes are used and disposed of each year, contributing large amounts of waste to our landfills. The plastic they are made of will not break down in our lifetime, or within the lifetime of our children. Imagine that on a global scale. Invented by a Brisbane dentist, The Environmental Toothbrush is a simple solution. Made from bamboo, a natural cellulose fibre, they are 100% biodegradable, environmentally sustainable, and do not pollute the environment. The amazing growth and self-renewing ability of bamboo means that deforestation is not necessary either. Even the packaging is bio-degradable. Make the change to the Environmental Toothbrush today. It’s only natural.
Three options available: Soft Bristle, Medium Bristle and a Soft Bristle toothbrush for children (smaller size). * Each toothbrush is individually packaged in a 100% recycled and biodegradable paper box. 1 toothbrush per box.

Useful Tip: If you have multiple bamboo environmental toothbrushes in one bathroom, put a small line of nail polish on the tip of the handle or carve in the toothbrush to tell them apart!

About The Environmental Toothbrush
The handle is made of moso bamboo, an environmentally sustainable material. Bamboo is technically considered a member of the grass family. It is the fastest growing plant on earth, and incredibly abundant. The bamboo is cultivated for three to five years and is then harvested. It re-generates itself naturally, with minimal rain and without the need for harmful pesticides. Harvesting and using the bamboo also helps control unwanted spread into agricultural and natural forest areas. The bamboo is heat treated to carbonise the surface of the bamboo, giving it a quality finish and good service life. The carbonisation finishing process provides water resistance and prevents the growth of microbes (bacteria and moulds) during normal use.
The bristles are made from a nylon 4 polymer resistant to microbial growth during normal use, to ensure safety and durability. We recommend you rinse and dry your toothbrush after use to keep it clean.
Disposing of your toothbrush: You should replace your toothbrush every 3 months and after illness. The Environmental Toothbrush can be disposed of safely by returning it to earth in compost or landfill. Both the bamboo and bristles will biodegrade into soil, without pollution.
The Giant Panda: China’s Giant Panda consumes soft bamboo shoots, stems and leaves as its main food source. The Environmental Toothbrush honours the Giant Panda and does not harm their habitat or food sources. The type of bamboo used to create the bamboo toothbrushes is the high Moso bamboo (Phyllostachys Pubescens), which has no leaf growth on the first 5 metres of the stem and therefore does not serve as a food source for the Giant Panda or the small panda.

Greatest toothbrush on the planet!!! Speaking of the planet buying this toothbrush will be like giving Mother Earth a hug because it's biodegradable and made from sustainable material.

I love this toothbrush - not only is it biodegradable and made from a sustainable material, but it works well and is competitively priced. It doesn't have any goofy gum massagers or tongue cleaning pads, but none of that is really necessary anyway.
I just stocked my store (in Prince George, BC) with them!

I first tried the medium bristled tooth brush and found it comfortable to use but then tried the soft and found it much more comfortable and did just as good of a job. I won't buy a plastic toothbrush ever again. Thank you for this great product!

The toothbrush is great, it is just as soft and comfortable to hold as a regular toothbrush also is light weight. The fact thats its enviromentally friendly is a bonus. Overall is a excellent product!I would recommend to anyone.

I purchased some for myself, and my 4 year old daughter. Not sure what I was expecting, but they exceeded it! As good if not better than any traditional toothbrush I have ever used.

I bought one of these toothbrushes for my daughter. I like how they have ones specifically for children. My daughter likes it because it's nice and light and the bristles are really soft and doesn't hurt her mouth while brushing. They are really neat. Great little gift or stocking stuffer!
