The Pahk environment friendly bag is the style of Nature Bag that can be used to carry almost anything almost anywhere.
What is a Nature Bag?
The Nature Bag is unique in style, structure and shape. Homemade in Laos, its design has been perfected by thousands of years of use on steep mountainsides by the Khmu indigenous minority. The result is a sturdy versatile eco-friendly tote evolved from the survival necessity of safely carrying a day’s harvest.
You’d be hard-pressed to find a bag that’s more eco-friendly and sustainable than the Nature Bag. Highly minimalistic and biodegradable, Nature Bags are made from a plant called tropical kudzu, a type of trailing vine. Members of the Khmu tribe in Northern Laos (a landlocked country in Southeastern Asia) make the bags through the Lao Poverty Reduction Project. The project is essentially an economic foundation that helps link the tribe to the rest of the world and provides marketing for the tribe’s stunning, handmade creations.
For thousands of years, the indigenous Laos people have used similar bags to gather essentials like food and fibers for clothing and shelter. The bags had to be durable and keep their gatherings secure as they traversed through deep forests and down steep mountainsides. Today, the Nature Bags invoke the very same qualities and are just as hardwearing and resilient as those made by the Khmu ancestors.
Who makes the eco-friendly bags?
The Nature Bag is homemade in Laos, a landlocked country in Southeast Asia which has one of the lowest per person income levels in the world. The knowledge and skill used in its craftsmanship rest exclusively with the Khmu ethnic group, which has lived at high elevations on the mountainsides of Northern Laos for centuries. These eco-friendly tote bags are made using wild growing JungleVine™ (tropical kudzu). Skilled volunteers empower Nature Bag's poverty-reduction mission.
Why use a Nature Bag?
The stretchable durable biodegradable bags provide a fashionable ultimate green way to leave non-organic bags behind. JungleVine™ purifies our air by removing harmful carbon and creating oxygen to breathe. Making these environment-friendly bags at home aids in child nurturing, preserves traditional social interaction and needs no wasteful commuting.

I have used my Jungle Vine bag for many purposes and recently just put my MacBook into it. I bring my MacBook back and forth from my home to the store frequently and am always lugging it around. Today, I just happened to slip it into my large Jungle Vine bag and it fit perfectly! I just have it in a thin protective case inside of the bag! Tell us about what you like about your Jungle Vine bag!
